(LANDOVER, Md.)  The Bowie State University Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs placed 7th and 15th respectively at the Terrapin Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland at the Sports and Learning Complex.  

Bowie State's men scored a total of 40 points and were led by sophomores Jonathan Harper and Alonzo Williams.  Harper placed 3rd in the High Jump (2.04m), 7th in the Long Jump (6.77m) and 9th in the Triple Jump (13.30m).  Williams took 5th in the 60 Meter Hurdles and finished 12th in the 60 Meter Dash (7.13).


In the women's division, sophomore Brelyn Finley placed 5th overall in the Shot Put (13.38m).  Junior Vernesse Thomas-Quickly finished 14th in the High Jump (1.57m) and sophomore Brittany Williams crossed the finish line with a time of 2:28.12 in the 800 Meter Run for a 17th place finish.
