WOMEN'S FINAL RESULTS
(TOWSON, Md.) The Bowie State women's cross country team placed 8th overall at the Towson Invitational and
Shamika Patton (Frederick, MD, Frederick) led BSU's Lady Bulldogs with a 46th place finish crossing the 5K finish line with a time of 22:04.
Host Towson University won the women's division (41 points) followed by the University of Albany (45 points), UMBC (90 points), the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (91 points) and Mount St. Mary's rounded out the top five with 127 points. St. Peters came in 6th overall (130 points) followed by Delaware State University (171 points) in 7th place. Bowie State did not factor in the overall team points as was the case for Hartford Community College - Club and Coppin State College.
Other Bowie State runners to finish include
Michelle Palmer (Oxon Hill, MD, Oxon Hill) (63rd - 25:02),
Tonya Walton (Indian Head, MD, Lackey) (66th - 26:36) and Angelique Henderson (67th - 26:43).
Bowie State will host the BSU Homecoming Challenge - Wednesday, October 8th beginning at noon.
