SOFTBALL ASSISTS WITH YOUTH CLINIC AT COLLEGE SOFTBALL WORLD SERIES

(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK)  Head Coach Darrell Toney and several of his Lady Bulldogs volunteered their time to assist with the 2010 Vitaminwater revive NCAA Youth Clinics in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Women's College World Series.

The Youth Clinics connect kids ages 8 to 16 with the College World Series and provided them with an experience designed to have a lasting impact. Participants receive sport instruction along with valuable information about healthy lifestyles. The clinics were at the Putnam City Optimist Softball Complex.

"This was a wonderful experience for Bowie State University to show their position on helping out youth throughout the nation", stated Toney. Coach Toney was accompanied by CIAA Player of the Year Shalai Tabor (Waldorf, MD, Delaware State Univ.), freshman CIAA Pitcher of the Year Megan Alexander (Damascus, Md., Damascus), former Lady Bulldogs outfielder Elizabeth Slater (Glen Burnie, MD, Lenoir-Rhyne Univ.) and Assistant Coach Susan Alexander.
