(BOWIE, Md.) Virginia Union University was no match for the much stronger Lady Bulldogs as Bowie State defeated the Lady Panthers 8-1 and 8-1. The only match Bowie State lost was #3 Singles in both matches.

(PETERSBURG, Va.) The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association kicked off the first day of the Women’s Tennis Championships today from the Virginia State Tennis Complex. Bowie State University's Lady Bulldogs defeated Elizabeth City State University 5-3 and advance to face Shaw - Friday (April 16) in semifinal action. The conference has elected to alter the format of this year’s championships. Instead of individual seeding by flight, teams will face each other in a single elimination, first to five match points tournament.
