(WEST CHESTER, PA)  Bowie State University was shutout 3-0 by West Chester University of Pennsylvania, dropping the Lady Bulldogs record to 5-22.  West Chester won the match by scores of 25-8, 25-6 and 25-8.

Michelle Powers and Kelly Martin paced host West Chester with eight kills apiece and Ashley Focht added another six kills.  Sam Ingersoil recorded a match-high six service aces and Helen Fitzpatrick scored five service aces.  The win improves West Chester to 18-13 on the year.

Bowie State's Lady Bulldogs were led by junior JaTyra Heath (Federalsburg, MD, Colonel Richardson) with six kills to go along with two digs and one block assist.  Seniors Breaun Garner (Beltsville, MD, Northwestern) and Itumeleng Shadreck (Botswana Africa, East Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central) had two kills each.  Shadreck also recorded 11 assists and a match-high seven digs.

Bowie State will host Kutztown University of Pennsylvania - Monday, October 26th at 6 p.m. in BSU's A.C. Jordan Arena.  This will be the final home match of the season for Bowie State.
