BSU DUAL RESULTS vs. ST. PAUL'S

(BOWIE, Md.)  The Bowie State University women's cross country team continues to peform well this season, claiming first place in the 2009 BSU Pre-Homecoming Challenge.  Bowie State's Lady Bulldogs ran away from the competition, scoring 17 points, with Washington Adventist University (formerly Columbia Union College), a distant second with 58 points.  St. Paul's College was third overall in the women's division (59 points) and Cheyney University placed fourth (80 points).

Shamika Patton (Frederick, MD, Frederick), Shayla Davis (Gaithersburg, MD, Watkins Mill) and Jasmine Butler were one, two and three, crossing the 5K course finish line with times of 19:58, 20:49 and 21:17 respectively.  Alluukeysha Guy of St. Paul's placed fourth (21:21) and Bowie State's Myriah Davis came in fifth with a time of 22:01.
