BSU DUAL RESULTS vs. SAINT PAUL'S

(BOWIE, Md.)  The Bowie State University men's cross country team took first place honors in its own Homecoming Challenge with a score of 22 points.  St. Paul's College placed second (43 points) and Washington Adventist University (formerly Columbia Union College) was third (55 points).

Daryl Sanders (Upper Marlboro, MD, DeMatha) once again led the Bowie State Bulldogs men with a first place time of 26:14 over the 8K course.  Aron Christiansen of Washington Adventist placed second overall with a time of 26:44 and BSU's Joseph Philpot (Washington, DC, Wilson) rounded out the top three with a time of 27:26.

Asteway Gass of St. Paul's and Bowie State's Damien Montgomery were fourth and fifth with times of 28:20 and 28:30 respectively.  BSU's Walter Morton and Michael Wallace rounded out the Bulldogs scorers, finishing sixth *28:49) and seventh (29:16) overall.
