(BOWIE, Md.) It took Bowie State University just over an hour to defeat St. Paul's College in the first match of a divisional doubleheader. The BSU Lady Bulldogs swept the St. Paul's Lady Tigers 3-0, winning by scores of 25-9, 25-21 and 25-17.

Itumeleng Shadreck (Botswana Africa, East Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central) recorded five kills each in the opening match. Shadreck scored a game-high five service aces and tied for game-high dig honors with five.
Christa Mosley, Tiffany Ball and Tekesha Rhodes led St. Paul's with three kills apiece. Rhodes led the Lady Tigers with two service aces and added five digs in the loss. Estell Johnson led St. Paul's i ndigs, picking up a game-high 11 in game one.
