(BOWIE, Md.)  Bowie State University head softball coach Darrell Toney is proud to announce the signing of six outstanding student-athletes to the Lady Bulldogs program.  The class includes Adria Lewis (Cumberland, Maryland), Megan Peomroy (Thurmont, Maryland), Haley Snyder (Pennsauken, New Jersey), Shelby Snyder, (Pennsauken, New Jersey), Renelle Traylor (Hayward, California) and Cherokee Williams (Upper Marlboro, Maryland).

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN)  Bowie State University's Tiffany Toney (Abilene, TX, Abilene Cooper, The University of Oklahoma ) named NCAA Division II Woman of the Year.  Toney, the three-time CIAA Softball Player of the Year (2007-2009), is one of 132 NCAA female student-athletes selected.

(LOCK HAVEN, Pa.)  Win or go home was the theme of game four of the NCAA Atlantic Softball Region.  Unfortunately, the Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State University dropped a 2-0 decision to Shippensburg (Pa.) University to end their season.

(LOCK HAVEN, Pa.)  Bowie State (26-7) drops into the loser’s bracket of the NCAA Atlantic Softball Region after being shutout 8-0 to top seeded and host Lock Haven University (42-5).  The BSU Lady Bulldogs will play Shippensburg (Pa.) tomorrow (5/9) at 12:30 p.m.

  Bowie State University, Champions of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and Lock Haven University, Champions of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) will get the 2009 NCAA Atlantic Region Softball Championships underway at 11 a.m. - Friday, May 8th at Lawrence Field on the Lock Haven campus.

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) The NCAA Division II Softball Committee has selected the 64 teams to participate in the 2009 NCAA Division II Softball Regional Championships. (BOWIE, Md.) Columbia Union College had no answer for red hot Bowie State University as the Lady Bulldogs sweep the Lady Pioneers 11-1 and 9-1 in non-conference softball action.  Bowie State improves to 26-6 on the year with one regular season game remaining at Division I Howard University - Wednesday, April 29th at 2 p.m.

History was made as the Bowie State University defended their back-to-back CIAA Championship, routing Fayetteville State University 9-1 to claim their third conference crown in a row.  Senior Tiffany Toney (Abilene, TX, Abilene Cooper, The University of Oklahoma ) selected as Championships MVP.

(PETERSBURG, Va.) Bowie State University (23-6) advances to Saturday's (4/18) CIAA Softball Championship game after defeating Fayetteville State University 4-1 in the winner's bracket semifinal game.

BOX SCORE

(PETERSBURG, Va.) Bowie State University moved one step closer to the CIAA Championship game, handing Saint Paul's College a 11-3 defeat. The win improves the BSU Lady Bulldogs record to 22-6 while the Saint Paul's College Lady Tigers dip to 13-12.  Bowie State advances to the semifinals and will dual with Fayetteville State University - tomorrow (4/17) on the campus of Virginia State University. Game time is set for 12:30 p.m.
